Why Do You Choose One and Not the Other?
Why Do You Choose One and Not the Other? The difference between the Chinese and English essay samples can be explained in two ways. First, Chinese essays are usually longer than English essays, because it involves a lot of study on the subjects and the writing style of English is relatively simple. Secondly, the English sample is more enjoyable to write because it is based on the real life situation where people really are acting like normal individuals and have their own moral values. In the case of writing the English essays, you can choose between basic essay examples which do not include any additional or special thoughts. Some examples of English essays are given below:Starting from the recent past year, a development is happening for example the situation in Tibet. In this kind of an example, people are no longer able to communicate easily due to the government crackdown and so they had to resort to writing letters and even making calls. Due to the financial crisis, most Tibetans are now trying to move to China in order to seek help from the people there. For those who have not ever been in China, they might find it a bit hard to handle things with the common political issues that they tend to talk about in everyday life. Also, after you learn some new words and understand how the culture works, you will find that the conversation is very much natural and the difficulty levels will go down a lot.If you want to write about yourself, you should first write a summary of what you think about the life and career of you. Then, you can switch the topics to the things that are exciting to you, for example work or the family. You can also talk about your expectations and dreams as well. Those who are writing for the purpose of giving their opinion will surely enjoy the writing experience if they have access to good essay samples. Nowadays, writing an essay is no longer a simple task that can be done by a student or a teacher who was bored and did not have any ideas. T oday, it is possible to do the writing from home with the use of the computer and with the help of a guide book. The writing has changed, but it still has a good idea as far as the rules and terms are concerned. Even so, it is still a great way to express yourself without any struggle.

The initial dishonesty by Harry sent a message to Gary that you do and say what is needed to complete the project. Eighty percent have decided to obay the dictates of their conscience, but the penalty will be severe. Any student refusing to sign will be sent to a German labor camp. May 18, 1943 Here is were the story begins On June 12, 1942, Anne Franks parents gave her a small red-and-white plaid diary for her thirteenth birthday. Anne recorded her innermost feelings in her diary, which she named Kitty. Less than a month after receiving her diary, on July 6, 1942, Anne and her family were forced to go into hiding. Though they could bring very few things with them to the hiding place, Anne brought her diary. During the months Anne lived in hiding, her diary became her best friend and confidant. In hiding, Anne continued to write in her diary nearly every day. She wrote about her life with the seven other people in hidingher parents, her sister, the van Pels family (called the van Daan family by Anne), and Fritz Pfeffer (called Alfred Dussel by Anne), as well as the war going on around her, and her hopes for the future. When she filled up her original diary, Miep Gies and Bep Voskuijl, two of the familys helpers, brought her ledgers and loose sheets of paper to continue writing. She kept these in a briefcase that belonged to her father. In 1944, the Dutch government, which had been in exile in London for most of the occupation, broadcast a request over the radio for people to save their wartime diaries. Anne Frank then began to rewrite her diary with the intention of having it published after the war. On August 4,1944, the Nazis raided the Secret Annex and arrested the residents. They emptied Otto Franks briefcase onto the floor, including Annes diary, in order to carry the familys valuables. After the residents were taken away, Miep and Bep went to the Annex, and attempted to salvage all that they could. They found Annes papers, as well as other personal belongings of the residents, which they took away for safe- keeping. Miep put Annes diary in her desk drawer, to await Annes return. .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec , .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec .postImageUrl , .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec , .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec:hover , .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec:visited , .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec:active { border:0!important; } .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec:active , .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u0adf0a5b504184194ff6130d5f8edfec:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Shakes EssayAnne Frank did not survive the Holocaust. The Statutory Definition Of Pornography Essays -
The Statutory Definition of Pornography Suppose one accepts MacKinnon and Dworkin's suggested statutory definition of pornography. How does one who generally accepts MacKinnon and Dworkin's views on the pervasively harmful effect of pornography, and who accepts a need for legal redress of the harms perpetrated by pornography, deal with pornographic material? The ordinance proposed by MacKinnon and Dworkin would deal with such material by enacting legislation which gives people adversely affected by the works, which clearly fit their definition of pornography, a cause of action against the producers, vendors, exhibitors or distributors for "trafficking", or for an assault "directly caused by the specific work. I do not think liberals, or others for that matter, should have much problem with the clause dealing with assault, since a causal connection to specific works is demanded by it. However, s. 3.2(iii) which deals with trafficking would be very problematic for liberals and legal conservatives because it creates a cause of action for a person contrary to the traditional conception of a rights holder's cause of action. This subsection reads: Any woman has a claim hereunder as a woman acting against the subordination of women. Any man, child or transsexual who alleges injury by pornography in the way women are injured by it also has a claim. [emphasis added] My goal in this paper is to suggest that a slight modification to this subsection of the ordinance would make it very difficult for liberals and legal conservatives to object to it. This modification would restrict the cause of action to the same persons as the other sections of the ordinance, namely, the particular victim of the specified injury. I shall argue that such a modification would largely cohere with the conception of harm already at work in Ontario law, would afford only a minor reduction in the potential efficacy of such legislation in curbing the harm of pornography, and would offer to empower the feminist camp which is behind such an ordinance with a mechanism for social and political change if a sufficiently organized feminist "vanguard" took hold of the opportunity to empower women. Adrian Howe argues that the concept of social injury which may be suggested by the ordinance recognizes the differential harm felt by women from pornography. Howe suggests this social notion of harm may be a necessary feature of any successful law reform which is to address the huge social problem of male domination and female oppression. The liberal notion of an individuated human right fails to capture, for MacKinnon and Howe, "the specificity of the harm to women." Thus, an ordinance which did not create a cause of action "for women as women" would fail to address the root of the social problem of which pornography is a manifestation. This conception of social harm, and thus subsection 3.2(iii), may offend liberals or legal conservatives in two ways. First, the notion of non-individuated harm is antithetical to the liberal conception of a rights holder claiming a cause of action. Fundamental to a liberal conception of harm is the notion of the individual who is autonomous, separate and fundamentally worthy of respect. Rawls and Kant exemplify this view in their analyses when they posit the undifferentiated self, free of any particular qualities save that of being an agent worthy of a fundamental, inviolable respect. This notion of the individual worthy of equal concern and respect in the eyes of the state permeates liberal conceptions of rights. It is also a fundamental, if not exclusive, tenet of the common law of torts: In tort litigation, the courts must decide whether to shift the loss suffered by one person, the plaintiff, to the shoulders of another person [emphasis added]. Clearly, on its face this conception of harm precludes the notion of a harm suffered collectively which cannot be delineated individually. While class actions are possible, and claims may be made on behalf of groups such as company shareholders, this is only by virtue of the fact that a legally recognized individual has suffered an identifiable particular harm. Thus, the conventional liberal notion of harm is radically distinct from that outlined by Howe and MacKinnon. Since on the liberal conception rights holders are autonomous, individual selves who are essentially distinct, harm to one is distinct from harm to another. It may be that a liberal conception of a rights holder simply renders the concept of a social harm, and thus a cause of action "for women as women" incoherent. I do not wish to discuss whether it is possible to develop a complete liberal notion of social harm. It is sufficient to

A common proverb is Actions speak louder than wo Essays - Philosophy
A common proverb is Actions speak louder than wo Essays - Philosophy A common proverb is Actions speak louder than words. This phrase means that words are meaningless without actions. Actions give purpose to your words because people say and make promises but have no intentions on keeping them. Acting according to your word will allow people to be more inspired and will most likely draw people to you. For instance, a candidate who honors his word will more likely be chosen over a candidate who doesn't. Lastly, without actions, there are no results. So therefore, actions give meanings to your words, people are most likely to be inspired by someone who honors their word, and without actions there are no results. In today's world, everyone has the freedom to say anything that he or she wishes to say. However, this does not mean that everything we say is truthful and should be taken literally. When someone declares something magnificent that they wish to achieve, how many of them actually take steps towards this goal. To truly discover who someone is, one must understand their body language and how they act. Often times, what people say and their actions can be entirely different, in this instance, it is more reliable to trust the latter. Furthermore, words are easier to forget, while actions are harder to forget because they have a more lasting physical effect on people and the world around them. Actions, compared to words, are concrete and have an everlasting impression. Words are meaningless without tangible evidence that proves what a person says. By this, a person may express claims, or go as far as threaten another person, to place inspiration or fear in them, but their statements are less meaningful unless they go through with what was said. Examples of this can be found in the politics, local communities, and everyday life. The new and current President of the United States, Donald Trump, told the public one of his plans for the country would include immigration bans. After the election was over, Trump pulled back from those. However, President Trump recently took action and the immigration ban temporarily prevents people and refugees from predominantly Muslims countries from entering the United States. His actions showed the world that he would keep his word and this helps people understand how actions must be followed through in order to get the meaning of what o ne says. Actions, while powerful, still are matched and to some overwritten by words. Words have the power to build nations or tear them apart. Additionally, words can be spread by means of mass communication while actions would only be seen by those present at the time that the action was done. However, while words are able to be communicated, if no action ever took place, then words would not matter and people will always be able to tell others of the events they witnessed. Words also have a unique way of inspiring people. Furthermore, words have the power to warn an audience of what may become our future if we don't take action. While all of these points are valid, the world is not built purely on words. After all, when words exist conflict arises that only action has the power to end. In conclusion, while an argument can be made that words are stronger than actions, without actions the world would not be able to make the necessary steps that are needed to have the world be where it is today. All things considered, actions give meaning to your words, create results, and ultimately have the power to influence people more than words. It's important to follow through with actions so that the things you do are coherent with the things you say. Otherwise, your words are futile and ineffective. Actions also create results and essentially influence people more than words. If you had to choose between showing your love or saying I love you, which one would make more of an impact?

Final exam Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Final exam - Essay Example lution in any way and it would be very wise for any person to accept reality as a stepping stone in trying to solve different kinds of problems that we encounter every day in our lives. Basically, real life is concerned with solving problems hence it would be sheer waste of time to be found crying when confronted with a difficult situation because life itself is an experience where we encounter new things on a daily basis. There was a time when I was so devastated after loosing my most prized possession, a state of the art laptop to thieves. I even contemplated committing suicide but little did I know then that greater things were lying ahead. From this traumatic experience, I learned that it is a noble gesture to accept reality. I reassured myself that, if in the first place I managed to buy this machine with a purpose in life, there was nothing whatsoever that would stop me from replacing it. Whilst recounting the loss, this unfortunate incident rekindled the sense of self determin ation in my life and within a couple of weeks, I had acquired an even more advanced machine. I also learned that it was always very wise to take precautionary measures of also storing my data on an external hard drive such that I would not loose my valuable information in the event of a similar incident mentioned above. From this experience, I realized that the tendency of submitting yourself to fate does not solve anything in real life. By virtue of accepting reality, one stands better chances of solving problems than someone who believes in crying. Over and above, it can be noted that sometimes really bad things may happen to our lives but that would not in actual fact spell the end of the world. Accepting reality is a virtue and there is no use of behaving like a cry baby in the case of misfortunes as this would not reverse the actual situation on the ground. In fact, we gain more experience from such kind of bad
